New insurance policy storefront

In the SOGAZ mobile application, purchasing new insurance products and managing active ones were separated into different sections.
The "Policies" section was mainly used as a storage place for already purchased policies, while the "Buy" section served as a separate entry point for purchasing new products.

I restructured this model and made the "Policies" section a single place where the user can:

  • view and manage active policies,

  • renew and add existing ones,

  • open new insurance products,

  • start the purchasing process directly from the same section.

After

Problem

The old structure separated related user tasks:

  • Policies — storing and viewing already purchased products;

  • Buy — purchasing new products;

  • some of the scenarios lived in an outdated WebView;

  • the user did not always understand where to look for the right action: view, renew, or purchase.

Because of this, buying and managing policies felt like different parts of the application.

Solution

Make the “Policies” section a single place for all insurance-related tasks.

I restructured the experience around three sequential nodes: showcase → product → purchase/management.

Showcase "Policies"

The screen is divided into "My" and "Connectable" sections, with categories added at the top. Each category received a video cover: the user instantly understands the context, and the interface becomes more friendly and emotional — there is a desire to "scroll and choose".

Updated UI

  • Category video covers: strengthen emotional engagement and speed up navigation, especially
    when there are many categories.

  • A more "showcase-like" composition: a large visual layer on top and a calm content part at the bottom — the emotion is there, but terms and prices are easy to read.

  • A unified language for cards: short descriptions + regular price + clear CTA, so that the subscription is perceived as a simple service, not as a complex insurance document.

Results

The metrics below have been modified/aggregated due to NDA and reflect the order
of effect based on post-release analysis and observations.

We have combined the storage, renewal, and issuance of policies
into a single section.

For the product, this became the basis for developing native issuance scenarios in the mobile app and further scaling to other insurance products.

+22–24% to transitions from the "Policies" showcase to the start of the application process

+20–21% to the conversion from “start of application → successful connection”

−10–13% of early exits from the "Policies" screen without action

+30–38% to interactions on the management screen
